It’s a wrap folks.

Just finished screening the final final final cut for the last time with all the teeny details fully in place. And i’m pleased as hell with what we cranked out. Which is to say, great work all :) Now just pray to the Film Festival Gods that we screen where we aim too…

Axe & Pistol Recommends….

My Perestroika. Great documentary film capturing generation just coming of age during breakdown of Soviet Union. Intimate, raw, no holds barred – everything a body goes to see in a documentary. I had the privilege to watch at Kyiv’s first – Independent American Film Festival, theatre was packed. Director Robin Hess answered questions/received comments from audience, including serious affirmations from viewers that she’d hit it spot on.

Long on the Island Screening

...and then we made this movie...

HEY! All you who’ve been thinking that your efforts have been in naught – that Long on the Island has fallen off this earth. Luckily, you’re very WRONG, we’re alive and clucking along as only independent film can – calmly, steadily, and way overdue :)

Joke joke joke – everyone in post-production has/is been great, and all have their own lives to balance amongst it all.

End result is:
Private Cast & Crew Screening – August 28 – 15:00 – Northwest Film Forum – 1515 12th Avenue

To attend – be recognisable to Ruth and/or Adam and don’t bring all yer friends. If you must, just pick one.

Behind the other scenes….

A little of what goes on in the not-so-edited life of Axe & Pistol. This wee project was the result of Fun A Day 2011, a community-based art movement designed to get people playing creative everyday in the first month of the new year.
