My Perestroika. Great documentary film capturing generation just coming of age during breakdown of Soviet Union. Intimate, raw, no holds barred – everything a body goes to see in a documentary. I had the privilege to watch at Kyiv’s first – Independent American Film Festival, theatre was packed. Director Robin Hess answered questions/received comments from audience, including serious affirmations from viewers that she’d hit it spot on.

HEY! All you who’ve been thinking that your efforts have been in naught – that Long on the Island has fallen off this earth. Luckily, you’re very WRONG, we’re alive and clucking along as only independent film can – calmly, steadily, and way overdue
